Corsoft has released an upgrade to its security software for Windows Mobile and PalmOS devices. In addition to deactivating lost or stolen phones remotely, "Warden" can now employ Bluetooth signals to warn users if they are leaving a phone behind, according to the company.
Warden's new locking feature is intended to lock accidentally abandoned phones, while also enabling them to cry out for help. The feature requires the phone to be paired with another device, such as a Bluetooth headset or watch. As soon as the paired device is carried out of range, the phone locks itself and then begins playing a user-defined recorded message.
