Microsoft has released the latest monthly security updates for August 2008 and has made them available for download from the Microsoft Download Center and also from Windows Update/Microsoft Update.

-KB952954: Vulnerability in Microsoft Windows Image Color Management System Could Allow Remote Code Execution

-KB953838: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer

-KB955617: Vulnerability in the ActiveX Control for the Snapshot Viewer for Microsoft Access Could Allow Remote Code Execution

-KB954066: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Excel Could Allow Remote Code Execution

-KB949785: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft PowerPoint Could Allow Remote Code Execution

-KB924090: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Filters Could Allow Remote Code Execution

Important:

-KB953733: Vulnerability in IPsec Policy Processing Could Allow Information Disclosure

-KB950974: Vulnerabilities in Event System Could Allow Remote Code Execution

-KB951066: Security Update for Outlook Express and Windows Mail

-KB955702: Vulnerability in Windows Messenger Could Allow Information Disclosure

-KB955048: Vulnerability in Microsoft Word Could Allow Remote Code Execution

Microsoft has released the usual update for the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and the Windows Mail Definition Update (x86) (x64).
