How to install the Recovery Console on Windows 2000

The Windows 2000 recovery console is useful for when you can't boot into Windows 2000 and will allow you to fix disks, create and/or format partitions, disable and enable services.
To install it perform the following steps -
- Insert your Windows 2000 CDROM
- Click Start > Run
- Type in the following :
D:\i386\winn32.exe /cmdcons (Replace D with the drive letter of your CDROM)

- Hit Enter and you will be presented with the installer and installation instructions
