View Full Version : Crazy Cursor!!

Sometimes when I enter a website that is running Java, my arrow cursor will become the 'pointing finger', which is normal, but the minute it goes to the finger it won't return to the arrow. Clicking outside the web page gives me the arrow back, but when I go back to any web page, java or not, the cursor becomes that 'I' cursor. Nothing remedies the situation except to shut down and reboot, can't even just restart.

This sounds http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/confused.gif I think...but you're good!! Any suggestions??

Audrey

What browser are you using? Netscape? NS is notoriously bad with Java. Personally I've turned Java off in Netscape to avoid those kinds of problems. Edit > Prefereces > Advanced..

Generally it's only ads that run Java and it won't change how Javascript runs on a page. Java and Javascript are 2 different things. So when NS says that it's starting Java you can almost always expect problems soon afterwards.

After trying several pages that cause me the problem, I have to agree with you. I'm using Netscape......gives me the heebie-jeebies to even think of IE or OE!! I'll turn it off and see if it makes a difference over the long haul. Thanks Buzz.....knew you'd figure it out!! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif

Good grief Bill....that looks like something I took out of the dryer yesterday.....so wrinkled I couldn't tell what it was!! I'll bite.....right-handed, because the left brain looks bigger, and that controls your right hand!

Well I don't know much, but I do know this!

All you need to do is look real close you can figure it out.

----> Positively left handed!

Still can't figure out why? Click here ----> and Look closer. (http://www.creativescott.com/stored/brain.jpg)

That may be my brain you got out of the drier. I've been looking for it for a few weeks now. There's a reward, but I can't remember what it is (without a brain what do you expect?). I'd ask you to send it to me but I forgot my address too. Well take good care of it. It's practically unused!

Okay, so Bill....

Let us in on the secret. Is there a way to tell if someone is right or left handed just by looking at a photo of their brain?

and Audrey, just pick up a rock and throw it. I'm sure you'l hit some man immediately who'll have a use for a brain! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Well Buzz for some fifty plus years they have been trying to figure that out and around 1992 or so most of the "egg heads" actually started to agree on the same path. Which *was* that the larger portion/half was the one that sent electro magnetic signals <--some sort of tech crap anyway> to your nervous system when you were young "age they all played their florada thing and couldn't get it together".They came somewhat close to making a scientific guess!
Then came in DNA. All of the research "years" went out the door.
Now that the egg heads have the DNA tree just about mapped, "which I really don't believe they do" they are stating that there is no common element.Basically from what I've read in the last year or so,they haven't the foggist idea yet.
Just think of all our tax money going to this research year after year to tell the public that dah we don't know nothin, Yet cloons (sp) from mice Chickens <--hehe
etc.
Makes one wonder how much is really going on behind the money!!!
