Dell Latitude e5440 the right driver for your WiFi is:

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us...laptop/drivers

Download the file to your desktop it is a *exe file

Now go into device manager and uninstall all drivers listed under your wifi
  • From the Windows desktop, click Start > Control Panel.
  • Click System and Security. If using the control panel in icon view, click Device Manager.
  • Click Device Manager.

In device manager find Network Adapters, expand it, now click on each of the WiFi ones and hit your delete key.

Once they have been removed, close it go to your desktop and double click on the driver file you download and follow the in screen prompts.
