I'm sorry, not sure I really understand. Remove a stick "and check"? If the memory testing software is unreliable, how do you "check" anything?

Can a memory stick be Partially bad, but still work?

Or is it either totally good or totally bad? If that is the case, maybe I understand: maybe what you are saying is that probably one stick is totally bad. Pull each, reboot. If the bad one is still in the machine, it will not boot?

Sorry, but this is just not clear enough for my level of experience and intelligence to understand.
