Smile A bit of local heroism

Meet 48-year-old Martin Richardson. He’s 18-stone, built like a brick out-house and a judo brown-belt.

What’s more, at the time of this Betting Shop Raid, he was in a bad mood after failing to win anything in the bookmakers. *titters*

Betting shop raider v.18-stone angry punter

Oh - his arm is in a sling due to breaking his arm in a rugby match subsequently, nothing to do with the raid

Judge Scott Wolstenholme sentenced the robber, 20 year old Sulman to six years in a young offender institution for his crimes and awarded Mr Richardson £250 from public funds as a reward.

£250????? some noughts missing off that figure, surely!

And how come a 20 year old bloke gets to go to a Young Offenders Institution? This was his 3rd robbery at least, to fund his drug habit. Bonkers

Anyway, nice job Mr Richardson

LOL, go Martin! I wonder what would have happened if he had been on a winning streak?

Sounds like crime is running rampant in England given your lenient sentencing to offenders.
A 20 year old punk pulls that here it would be his third strike, counting his priors, and given a life sentence.

I'm not sure what country you're from Cigar smoker, but here in the US it wouldn't surprise me if Martin would be accused of assault!!
