Hi olgun,

Just a question on my malwarebytes. And after those issues with it earlier in the thread.

It's version 2.2.2.1043 I have.

But there is a message and a pop up box saying "Your program version is out of date", when I load it up now. Should I update the program version? Or will this change it and give me my earlier issues we had?

Database version is all good and up to date.

Thanks.

Are you getting this pop up on your malwarebytes too olgun?

There is a permanent banner in malwarebytes saying that your program version is out of date..... and a "install" button.

Also get the pop up everytime I double click to load it, saying for me to update it.

Not sure to what version, it doesn't state what I upgrade to.

Will this upgrade me to version 3 and give those same problems again?

Thanks.

They are all normal.
There is version 3 antivirus features. You should use not this version.

I recommend not the full real-time protection of Malwarebytes version 3

Because there is antivirus feature. It may cause instability with other antiviruses. But it can only be used for screening. It's your decision.

Okay thanks olgun.

I'll stick with version 2 and will ignore the pop ups and banners about upgrading the version.

Thank you.

Hi olgun,

Just wanted to share as it may help someone else in the future. After a bit of researching I found a simple fix to stop the program update keep popping up.

Go to C:>Program Data>Malwarebytes>Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

then delete the "mbamsetup.exe" file. Restart laptop.

Gone. No more annoying update version pop ups or horrible banners when I load version 2 up now.
