Remap Keyboard

I'd like the change the Caps Lock key to something else, because I keep hitting it accidentally.

I am using Windows 10, with generic keyboard and mouse.
Microsoft software for key remapping won't work with my stuff, says "not recognized".

I found this:

https://www.groovypost.com/howto/shi...able-capslock/

and those instructions seemed miraculously easy, just what I was looking for. The page was published February 2019.

yet, when I try to follow those instructions, I do NOT see what is shown on the web page, and the options he refers to do not exist.

I would prefer not to mess around in the registry, and am not very confident that third party keyboard remap software is free of malware, adware, spyware.

Use SharpKeys. Easy and straightforward. Crapware-free, too.

You're welcome.

Thank you.

Is there some way to know that there is a virus inside something? I mean, can you load it into a quarrentine section of your computer, then scan it?

I found a review of Sharpkeys:

https://download.cnet.com/SharpKeys/...-75803009.html

Review states:

"total load of crap"
sabre697 SABRE697
OCTOBER 05, 2016 / VERSION: SHARPKEYS 3.5

PROS

well the pros is it only took them a few hours to be into all my accounts and all my info stolen... so efficient

CONS

well they stole all my passwords, wish i could do negative star ratings..

SUMMARY

i'd advise not to use as it is a keylogger

Just as a side note......the world has changed in some strange ways.
Some bad ways.

Many years ago, I began using a free program that called itself "CrapCleaner".
Works great, still working. But.....now they changed the name to "Ccleaner"

What happened to the world? Logically, no matter what is said, or what words are used, SOMEone is going to be offended.

Yes, literally. SOMEone is going to get upset and offended if you use, for example, the word "pineapple" instead of "indigineous hawaiian native fruit"

Well....what if "indigineous hawaiian native fruit" or maybe "irish american" happens to offend ME? Im just one person. Doesn't that make me an oppressed minority, so that all language has to be censored?

Thanks for saying "crapware" in this suffocating PC world we now live in.
