Can I upgrade to Win 10

I was wondering if I could upgrade from win 7 pro to win 10 pro or do I have to buy a full version and do a clean install? I probably cannot re-install ms office as I acquired it through my work.
Thanx so much
Jim

It is possible to get it free, can try this:

Visit Microsoft's Windows 10 upgrade page from a Windows 7 PC, click the "Download tool now" button, and select "Upgrade PC" now," and you should be able to install the new software free of charge. Before doing so, however, remember to back up all important files, and remember that not all Windows 7 apps may be compatible with Windows 10.

But since they are no longer offering Windows 10 upgrade FREE you would have to purchase a license.

However, read this:

if you do a websearch you will find all kinds of recent articles about upgrading from win7 to 10. one thing you need to do first is to go to your computers manufacturers website, search for your specific computer model and see if they have win10 drivers for your specific computer

Yeah that upgrade worked great. I was going to buy a copy of windows 10, so you guys saved me about $140 bucks. Thanks so much. It works great on my one PC, however on the other one it is kind of slow so I want to go back to windows 7. Anyone know how I can do this?
Thanx
Jim

part of the slowness right now could be because it is indexing the files and could be updating. I would give it a few days to a week to see if it levels out after you make your changes and such. a good search will show steps you can take to speed up the computer.

however to answer your question try - open up the Start menu and select 'Settings', then 'Update & security'. From there, select 'Recovery' and you'll see 'Go back to Windows 7'
