Can't Download Virus Protection

Good morning. Yesterday, I was surfing the web and started getting suspicious popups. I tried to take a look at my virus protection (McAfee) and it was not there! I went onto the McAfee site to immediately download virus protection, and my account on McAfee confirms that my protection shouldn't expire until 2012. I attempted to download the protection from the site, but my computer intermittenly goes so slow it won't download, or it goes faster but then I get an error message about JavaScript not being installed or working properly. I tried a system restore, but the only ones available were within the last few days and that definately didn't help. I also cannot install windows updates and I just got this message as well:
Problem:

Shut down unexpectedly
Files that help describe the problem:
070811-19484-01.dmp
sysdata.xml
Can you help me? I'm not sure what-all happened.

Thanks!

Sounds like you have a malware problem. I would post in the "Malware Removal Forum". They should be able to help you.
