Good old Vera Lynn. I had no idea she was still alive, well unfortunately now she isn't and despite the song, we unfortunately won't be meeting again. 103 amazing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vera_Lynn for the younger members reading this.

RIP Dame Vera.

Hey Jaytee
Now I'm showing my age again. I bought this album in a used record store in New York City years ago. I hope you can see the price tag on it if not it cost me $50 used.

I can remember riding home on a bus that was standing room only, and I was holding onto the album for dear life. My boyfriend at the time thought I was crazy for spending that kind of money on a used record, but he married me anyway.

Dame Vera through the years https://www.theguardian.com/music/ga...fe-in-pictures

And a parody, for a smile:

Pity the poor Eskimo: you kill a whale, it's gonna last for a fair old while... and after eating from said beastie for a few months, they may well be singing:

Whale meat again, still some spare, God knows when
It won't be "Whale meat again", some lucky day
Keep smiling through whale meat dumplings and stew
Whale burgers, too, and whale en flambé

It's been there for weeks, and the damn carcass reeks
Surely won't last too long...
But when they get one more whale in their net
I'll be singing this song, oh:

Whale meat again, going spare, lost my brain
If I eat whale meat again, I'll go insane
