Post Wysiwyg Web editors

I have been creating web pages using only wordpad and HTML coding since the mid 1990's. Having created and maintained a website for my church since 2008, i am at a stage where I need a WYSIWYG text editor. I need a simple app that will allow me to occasionally pass on the responsibility for maintenance to less experienced members.

Can you recommend a good reliable text editor (preferably free or low cost.)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

maybe consider using wordpress as the foundation for the website. it is easy to use and customize. you can use wordpress scripts provided by most hosting services or use wordpress.com for your host. it would be the easiest way for inexperience users to maintain. there are thousands of templates that can be used to customized the site though there will be limits if you use wordpress.com
