MS Money 2005 Can't find data files

Hi

I have used MS Money 2005 for some considerable time and apart from the odd problem it has been 100% stable until a couple of days ago.

After waking my laptop (a Samsung S3511 running Windows 7 Home Basic) in the morning I tried to access my data files and got the error shown below:

https://www.dropbox.com/home/Camera%...ew=Capture.JPG

I have backups of the data files on external memory sticks and usually any problem is resolved by accessing the backups.....but not in the is case as I get the same error.

The data files are OK as I can access them from my Money installation on my Desktop PC.

I have uninstalled Money and then reinstalled using the latest download from http://moneymvps.org/downloads/files...05-UK-QFE2.exe. I have tried SAFE MODE install and Administrator but same problem exists.

I am assuming it is some sort of Registry problem and would be grateful for any advice on how to identify and cure the problem.

Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks Murf

I have not been able to find what you say and have just noticed that in the Forum Rules box it says:

Do I need to change a setting somewhere?

Thanks
