New nVidia GeForce 9800GT gets no signal on moniter

Hi there,

I had an ATI radeon HD 3850 and replaced it with a new NVIDIA Geforce 9800GT since my ATI card had a "no signal" error on the moniter when I got back from a holiday. I also needed to get a new PSU (650w) to power the new card.

So once I had installed the PSU and graphics card, and had plugged the VGA cable into the VGA port on the video card, I get a "no signal" error again.
After fiddling with the 6-pin PCI-E power cable and the SATA and power cables on the hard drive, I get it to work. However, when I turn it on the next morning,
it does the same thing, and I eventually get it to work by fiddling around again.

So this is what happens every time I shut my computer down and then want to get on it the next morning. Btw, I have tried hibernating and sleeping the PC.

Does anyone have a solution to my problem? If so, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex
