My RECOVERY (D) is almost full. How to fix?

Hi. I have a laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic.
The other day I got a message that the drive was low on disk space. My RECOVERY (D) is almost full.

I have all hidden files showing and this is what is under that drive.

Folder called Boot
Folder called Recovery (has a padlock icon on it)
ADRInfos.sml file
Dellcd.boot file
Dellcd.sys file

In the Boot Folder there are a number of file folders with the following names
cs-CZ, da-DK, de-DE, etc., and 2 files called etfsboot.com and memtest.exe

I can't access the Recovery folder because it gives me a warning that it's for Datasafe Recovery process etc.

I don't knowingly save any documents or downloads etc to that drive. I backup to a USB drive.

I know when I bought the laptop that drive was nowhere near as full as it is now so something is definately ending up there.

Hi llanita. Your Recovery Partition is not part of Windows. It was set up by your Computer Manufacturer which in your case is Dell. You should be talking to them about this as they know exactly what files should be present on that partition. You can get free support from the Dell Community here.

Hi, I've been to their forums but they're no help. As soon as your topic gets pushed off the first page due to others posting their problems, you're pretty much forgotten. I was just hoping to get help here.

Some have had success in resolving this problem...and quite a few report having it...by running the Dell Diagnostic Utility.
