Will a hub work even with multiple devices plugged and working at the same time?

Here is a nice power USB 2.0 Hub.

Here's the Link to it: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...E&gclsrc=aw.ds
A nice feature on it is the Power Switches.
You can shut off a device when its not needed.
Or to extend the Laptop battery's running time by turning off items.

Going to a SSD will give you faster access times.
Which means faster system startups, quicker response times of programs.
Will extend the battery's run time.
The trade off is the SSD is not as reliable as the HDD, and the price is higher.

Here's the Crucial Update Listing of SSD's: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ssd?cm...buy-ssd-button

yes it will. just make sure you get a hub with its own power supply.

one thing you need to consider before spending too much money on the laptop is the age. ask yourself, is it worth spending more than the laptop is worth? also ask yourself, how long is the battery lasting? If not long and you want the laptop to be portable, then a new battery will also be needed. finally ask yourself, is it worth spending all the money on an old laptop that could give out at any time?
