Communication Not Available With Lexmark 2600, Windows 10

Hi All,

Here's the deal. We have a Lexmark x2650 printer connected via USB and when we attempt to print we get an error message that reads "Communication Not Available". Here's what I have tried.

-I have tried disabling the firewalls
-I have ensured that the drivers are up to date and reinstalled the drivers 4 times
-yes, I have tried turning it on and off again
-in devvmgmt.msc I can see that the printer is present and "the device is working properly"
-In microsoft word, I can see the device is present and "ready" with a green check mark
-I followed all the instructions on this website: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge...ailable-issue/
-I have tried different USB ports just to be sure

Can anyone give me some suggestions as to where to go from here?

Are you using Windows 8.1 driver? As Lexmark appears not to have a Win 10 driver.
