burners

how can you tell if the burners are getting bad. I have two. nero burns fine. ashampoo says my burners are bad. I'm using audacity to edit files. does the sound degenerate when I do that?

DVD players/burners use a laser, this laser can weaken over time. I would suspect it is the software not the hardware as Nero works OK you said.

Do you have the latest ashampoo??
