Password prompt not coming up when turning on iMac

I have a small issue with my iMac. For some reason when I turn it on I am not asked for a password, I just go straight to the desktop. This changed after I updated the operating system (I'm still running El Capitan 10.11.6 at the moment so not the latest). So far I've just left it as it is since I updated, but I'd like to have the password prompt come up when I turn on the computer. Can someone tell me how to do this please?

System Preferences > Users & Groups > Log in options... change the "Automatic Login" drop down menu item to "Off".
