the right mic

hi I want to use some a mic that I can use to dictating my voice into the computer and not have to worry about typing of which I don't good well.
id rather not use dragon as that's a software and my pc already has software in it.is there a mic I can use to do this?im on a xps 8900 on a windows 64 bit system

As you probably know there is a microphone connector on the top of the case, any microphone will work. It will use the intergrated Realtek ALC3861 Audio.

Just depends on how much you want to spend on the Microphone. Dictation only works through software. There are many out there;

There is one "Free" one called Natural Reader Software

But limited to PDF, Docx, TXT and ePub

Just do a search on Amazon and check the reviews for a good microphone.
