RAM installation guide.
Trying to add RAM and got a series of beeping noises instead. 1 short 1 long. Now I'm hoping for detailed instructions on what to do, to avoid another mishap.
I'm good with basic computer maintenance, but hardware is a new venture. HP Pavilion P6000 Windows 7 |

The beeps indicate that it doesn't like the memory you installed.
{Or how it was installed.} First, remove the new memory you installed, and put back the old memory as it was before you added the new memory. Next, see if the system will boot up normally. If it boots up normally. Grab your computer Manual, or go out too HP Support and down load it. HP Support: https://support.hp.com/us-en?jumpid=...E&gclsrc=aw.ds Look up:
use the Memory Configuration Circuit too maximize performance and compatibility with the Memory Modules. You'll need to look in the Manual, and see how too do the setting up. Signed: Ensign Tzap |
