Cant Boot from UEFI

Acer laptop - fresh install of Win 10

Had to change BIOS to boot from legacy as it was from a DVD

All installed OK

Go back to BIOS to change to boot from UEFI and Secure Boot, and it won't boot

Thought it was best on UEFI

Any Ideas - Thanks

So to your knowledge the Windows 10 DVD was not a UEFI boot one???

Try this:

Boot to BIOS pressing F2
Go to BOOT tab
press enter on BOOT mode and select UEFI
press F10 to save and exit
let your system boot to windows

If that is what you did and it won't boot. Then get into Disk Management and look at the partitions do you see a EFI partition, which means if it isn't there Windows was not installed under UEFI.

START>CONTROL PANEL>SYSTEM and SECURITY>ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS>COMPUTER MANAGEMENT

or

Right click Start and see if you have disk management there.

Yep

NTFS Partition

It was installed via a USB DVD Drive - what could I have done to install under UEFI ?

I thought all Windows 10 downloads were UEFI ??
