IE 9 Search Provider Corrupted...pls help!

Hi,

Recently I had a few issues with my laptop and since then I keep getting this message:

"A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internest Exporer.
Internet Explorer has reset this setting to your orignal search provider, Google (www.google.co.uk).
Internet Explorer will now open Search Settings, where you can change this setting or install more search providers."

I have tried various ways eliminate it but to not success.

Please can you advise me what is the best way to get rid of this message?

Many thanks,

JIO22

Try:

1. Quit IE
2. Delete the following file:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Prot ect\CREDHIST

Restart IE
