Tutorial - Replacing Linux (Ubuntu) with Windows (Vista)
We understand that Linux isn't for everyone. If you've tried it and don't like it, you'll want to wipe it and put Windows back on.
Here is the 25 step process. (Click on any image thumbnail for a larger resolution version) |
Step 1:
You have a running Linux system (e.g. Ubuntu 11.04 shown) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nuxrunning.jpg Step 2: Insert your Windows (e.g. Vista) CD/DVD and restart Linux http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nuxRestart.jpg Step 3: Press any key to boot from CD/DVD http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...03_CD_Boot.jpg |

Click "New" http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...stasetup10.jpg Step 15: Allocate the full disk to Windows (Note: if you have a large hard disk, you may want to split it up at this point into a Windows partition and a data partition but this is not part of this tutorial) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...stasetup11.jpg Step 16: Select your Primary partition and click Next http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...stasetup12.jpg Step 17: Wait while Windows is copied to the disk http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...stasetup13.jpg |
