Hello Jimmye!

If your system has trojans, deleting an account and creating a new one will not help resolve your problem. Tweaking the settings of your cookies also does not have anything to do with trojans that may be aboard your box.

I recommend the following 3 programs which are believed to be the best and are 100% free: Ad-Aware, Spybot and Windows Antispyware. To remove trojans, you can download SwatIt which is also free (click on the blue highlighted link to download).

Important: Before scanning your system, be sure to find the tab on each program that says "Update or Get Updates", and click to update definitions. Perform a full and complete scan of your system. Anything they find is completely safe to remove/delete.

Good Luck and please post back with your results.
