Pop-Up Ads and GREEN Hyperlinks
 

Hi all -

For the longest time I was able to keep my PC completely virus/spyware/adware/malware/hijacker free using Norton Anitvirus, Norton Internet Security, Ad-Aware SE, and Spybot. More recently though I have been experiencing the following 2 problems:

1) Full-screen pop-up ads almost every time I start a new session of Internet Explorer. They are almost always for a free laptop, or free television.

2) On every web page that I visit, there are random words in the text of the page displayed as GREEN hyperlinks. When I scroll over those words, they all say "Ad Sponsored". When I click on them, they always bring me to the web site www.zippy-lookup.com.

Can anyone tell me how to fix these problems? Norton, Ad-Aware SE, and Spybot are all up-to-date. I even purchased another program called XoftSpy. None of the programs find anything wrong. I did a file search for the word "zippy", and I found the following folder: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cache32_zippy. Inside the folder are 2 files: 100dsktptr (BIN file), and msg (BIN file). If I delete the cache32_zippy folder it just reappears the next time I use Internet Explorer.

I downloaded HijackThis and saved a log file. The log file is posted below.
