Yup. My local shop only carries cheap power supplies with 18amp rails, or else they expect you to pay $300 for a kilowatt unit. I think I'll end up ordering one off of ncix.com, I saw some 600-700w...

I have the OCZ700GSX, which is GameXstream whatever that means. It's still 18A on all 3 12v rails. My processor is an E6750 1066fsb/2.66ghz. the site lists e6700 as compatible but not 6750...

Reading the side of the PSU, it gives 3.3v 3a, 5v 30a, +12v 18a (x4, 72a altogether) and then .5a for .3-3 etc.
Am I correct in assuming that 12v is motherboard/cpu, 5v is gpu, 3.3v are anything...

Tried removing extra devices (3 case fans, 1 hdd, sound card, network card) to see if it made a difference, I initially lasted long enough...

Is the computer well ventilated? IE: not sitting in a corner, or objects blocking off...
