Thanks Murf and tetonbob I am actually loading Win 98 back on to the computer. I had never used a bootdisk befor and after installing a bootdisk from a floppy my system is about to have 98 on it....

Thanks for the help. I found the duplicated VCD and I went into the SYSTEM.INI file and where the extra VCD line was I added a semicolon (;) to the begining of the line and it's all good now....
