Scan Disk Not Finishing-possible virus or trojan

I posted this in the wrong thread so here again:

When I tried to run scan disk in safe mode there were still programs running (this is after runing malware programs and antivirus too). When hitting ctrl-alt-del I can see a long list of programs that are running but can't tell which are ones I wouldn't want to mess with or are bad ones...here are some of them, maybe someone recognizes what they are:
wusb54gv4
hpwuschd2
systray (I know this is a good one)
hidserv
infomyca
vsmon
rundll32
osd
avgcc (this and the next prob. avg free edition antivirus)
avgemc
zlclient (assuming this is my zone alarm)

any help greatly appreciated!

This is an inherited pc - no clue what went on here before I got it but I know she didn't run a firewall or antivirus or adaware program. It runs Windows ME and I have Zone Alarm and AVG Free version as well as adaware and spybot. I've tried disconnecting from the internet, shutting down the firewall and antivirus and closing everything but it still won't run - still says that something keeps interrupting. As noted above, not even in safe mode.

Another thing, probably unrelated but may not be - there is a program in my programs list called Morpheus that doesn't allow me to uninstall it.
