Which Program to Choose to Open PDF's?
What program should be used to open PDF files?

My computer used to do this automatically, but I recently reformatted my hard drive.

When I went to open a PDF up just now, I was met with the "which program would you like to use to open this type of file". I erroneously chose Wordpad and didn't notice that the "Always use this program to open this type of file" box was clicked on. It didn't work.

Now, I'd like to set it up properly so that other family members aren't met with a useless Wordpad document when they need to open a PDF.

What should I choose instead?

Hi jessek,

It should be Adobe Reader. If you don't have it currently installed, you can d/load the free Reader from here

I did NOT have the program, but used your link to download and install it.

I then changed my folder options and successfully opened up the PDF file.
