I'm finding that message you're getting all over the net. It's looking like it's the result of a recent Windows update. So far, nothing I've found has identified which update. It would have to be one installed in the last couple of weeks, though.

Problem Discover... no fix found yet

The problem is one of Microsoft's recent April 2007 Patches:

KB925902 (MS-07-017)

If you uninstall this patch, the problem will subdue, but you're still vulnerable and will continue to be until Microsoft comes out with a fix.

Note: This was the patch Microsoft initially came out with on Apr 3rd and then re-issued again on Apr 10th because of bugs, so apparently a NEW (yet to be released) patch for the Apr 10th patch of the Apr 3rd patch is still required if/when they ever release it!

uninstalling the updates didn work for me. i installed kaspersky antivirus, it detected the trojan scvhsot.exe, make sure its not svchost.exe which is a required exe. once scvhsot.exe (a trojan) is deleted restart the computer. Remove the contents in autorun.inf for all drives, u can see that in the autorun.inf file, it opens sss.exe, this is the one thats causing the exception i presume. once the autorun files are emptied, restart again.. and the problem was solved!
