Deleting System File
I am running Windows XP. I had a virus some months ago and a computer repair guy came to the house and determined that the system 32 kbdhid.sys was infected with the backdoor.tidserv.I!inf and renamed it to kbdhidold.sys then replaced the file with a clean one. Now when I run a scan it shows the renamed file "kbdhidold.sys" as infected although windows is not using this file. How can I safetly remove this file? Should I remove it? My folder C;\windows\system32\drivers\ shows three files.
1. kbdclass.sys 2. kbdhid.sys 3.kbdhidold.sys I am assuming that kbdhidold.sys can be safely removed. Thanks for any advice or help. |
