Question it must be possible with todays technology

I currently have a wireless router connected to my bt internet at home.

I have recently installed cctv and the dvr recorder for this is located in the loft. i cant run a cable from the router downstairs all the way through to the loft and the dvr cannot recieve wireless internet nor can i find one that does. is there any way of connecting another router wirelessly to the original router downstairs without wiring to the original router or getting a phone socket in the loft?

Cheers

giff

Hi Gifford,

What you want to look into is a wireless bridge or a wireless router that supports 'bridge mode'. This seems like the best solution to your problem.
