Microsoft Edge - Do I need it?

I just upgraded to 10.

Do I need the Microsoft Edge program....? It seems to want to be my web browser or something?

just delete the shortcuts and use your favorite browser. It can be removed but it will require a bit of work.

You should not remove it. Just make your favorite browser the default. I use IE. Here's how to make IE the default browser in Windows 10. Use the same procedure if you prefer Pale Moon, Chrome or another browser.

owner permissions

had a problem when following renegades link instructions in step 7..... when I went back to security tab after completing step 6 there was no "administrators" option to check?

Not to worry did a SR and hope it fixed my stuffup.

The fix in the link doesnt remove it anyway just disables it...s o not worth the danger...
