Windows 98 not connecting to internet (moved from Windows NT, 2000, 2003)
My laptop is not connecting and it says it cannot detect a router. My Mac is connecting fine. Any suggestions?

Welcome to CTH
Can be caused by many things.
In control panel double click on the Network ICON, does it show you connection??? Start | RUN type in command At the flashing cursor type in the following: winipcfg It should show HOST, DNS and IP does it? If not and all of the above is ok then type the following: winipcfg /release (hit <enter>) winipcfg / renew (hit <enter>) winipcfg (hit <enter>) Does it show up now?? |
