It must be very difficult for you Buzz, I'm not one to put the boot in, so I won't, I hope things get back on track there soon.

He's notorious for waiting until heat dies down before exacting revenge.

(Not that I'm accusing him of having anyone thrown out a window).

I think you are right Buzz, on his TV show years ago his favourite saying was, "You're Fired". People loved it and he has carried on with this while president.

To me, as a boss, firing people is just a sign of failure, failure as a boss who is unable to lead his people in the way the business requires. As a president, firing people just means that you end up surrounded by 'Yes Men', there is no critical thinking being applied to ensure the best decisions have been made. It become one big 'boys club' with everyone just patting each other on the back, and terrible decisions being made.

I recently saw Donald Trump described in the press here as a "Fair Weather" Businessman and a "Fair Weather" President.

I think this is a good description of him as a businessman, anyone can make money and heaps of it when all is going well, but when a downturn comes, a good businessman survives while the bad, "Fair Weather" businessman goes bankrupt. I think I read some while ago that DT has been bankrupt several times, correct me if I remember that incorrectly.

We have seen his performance as President with the Coronavirus, more deaths than any other country and aiming to open the place up before getting on top of the situation.

Thousands more will die, absolutely horrific. I sympathise with the victims and the future victims that will be caught up in this disaster.

Best wishes to all my American cousins, I hope, for your sake, I've got all the above wrong.

Here's a quote that blew me away.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany also backed the administration's response, saying, "President Trump is committed to a data-driven approach to safely reopening the country. His steadfast leadership has saved American lives, and the American people recognise his leadership."
the latest figures are??????????????

no ... no.... no... the "data" she's speaking of is his Twitter account and how may hits he gets... not any actual usable, oh, health-related data...

You surely know by now that if "Data" isn't directly related to himself, Trump doesn't understand it... and when it IS related to himself, it's magically ALWAYS good data. He has the best data. It's amazing. No one does data like he does.

But wait there's more..
Local news report
Angry Trump ends briefing early
10:40, May 12 2020
US President Donald Trumps walks out of fiery press conference.

US President Donald Trump called an abrupt halt to his coronavirus press briefing on Tuesday (NZ time) after a tense discussion with two female reporters.

While taking questions, Trump was asked by reporter Weijia Jiang why he often claimed the US was “doing far better than any other country when it comes to testing” when so many Americans were still dying.

“Well, they’re losing their lives everywhere in the world. And maybe that’s a question you should ask China,” Trump told Jiang, who was born in China.

“Don’t ask me. Ask China that question, OK? When you ask them that question, you may get a very unusual answer.”

Trump then pointed for a question from CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, but Collins let Jiang ask a follow-up question: “Why are you saying that to me specifically?”

Trump said Jiang was asking a “nasty question.”

Then Trump refused to let Collins ask her question and after another brief spat, announced he was ending the briefing and walked off the stage.

Trump has often verbally battled female reporters in his briefings. Last month, he told Jiang "You ought to be ashamed of yourself,” while calling her tone “very nasty.”
