WIN 7/8/10 Won't Recognize XP in Network

We run a shared computer completely for storing and sharing files between staff and stations. It has worked incredibly well until yesterday when all our WIN 7/8/10 machines stopped being able to access it. It says "Incorrect Password". I know it is the right password. It has always worked and STILL works on our XP machines. It isn't an issue with the computer, it is an issue with these newer stations that for some reason won't even recognize the XP machines in the NETWORK. Tried different user/login info but it has always worked this way and continues to work on other machines.

Need some help.

Could be lots of reasons. The place to start is looking at what has recently changed.

Have there been any network infrastructure changes?

Do you windows update set to auto or recently applied updates?

Was security software recentlt updayed or changed?
