Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn: version 7.04

Ubuntu version 7.04(Fiesty Fawn) is completed and ready for download. This the latest version of Ubuntu with many improvements. You can get it here:
http://www.ubuntulinux.org/

Personally, I'm waiting till late tonight to download. I imagine the mirrors are busy today.

What a great improvement with wireless. My hat goes off to all those involved.

You guys probably know the troubles i've been having with setting up secured wireless with Ubuntu.

I installed Fiesty Fawn today. Plugged in my Zyxel AG-225H. I set my network to 64bit Wep (from WPA). Typed in the code and hey presto. No drivers, no ndiswrapper. I'm impressed, it was easier that setting up wireless in Windows.

By the way i'm using Ubuntu right now to type this.

good I hope its that way with me. I have Kubuntu installed on one of my laptops but been too lazy to do the ndiswrapper thing.

I'm guessing (haven't studied yet) it will still depend a little bit on what wireless chipset you are using but that's sure sounding like good news G Dem.

shucks - still some problems with the wireless. At least it found it. maybe the next version in 6 months will be better.

Yeah like you said Smurfy I think I was lucky with my chipset (Zydas). Must of been pre installed on Fiesty Fawn. Lol I love those names, what's the next one gonna be?

Installed Fiesty Fawn without much trouble. The only thing I can't get to work is my external harddrive-can't seem to get it mounted. The drive is connected via Firewire (ieee1394). Any ideas there. I had the same problem with Dapper Drake(6.04) but got it sorted. Forgot how I did it-Duh.

OK, got it sorted. I can read my external HD now-no problem. Everything else was a snap, even my printer. Fiesty is sailing along.
