User Act Control and Do you want to allow the following program to make changes...

I must have had an update on firefox...the UAC box pops up all the time, with the message, do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer? The program is Adobe DLM...

Can someone tell me how to shut it off?

Thanks!

Hi Alanis,

Adobe Download Manager is used to deliver either Adobe Reader or Flash Player to your PC. It could be that you interrupted a download from Adobe and it has not completed.

Although the DLM should be removed after restarting your PC, you could uninstall it manually in the usual way (Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program).
