Windows XP security alert for automatic updates
Hello,
I have a Windows XP security alert that pops-up regularly (very irritating) from the task bar saying that my computer might be in danger because automatic updates are disabled. In fact, they are enabled. Disabling and re-enabling them does not help. How can I get rid of this alert? Thanks. Fuzzystone |

Hi fuzzystone,
Open the Security Center applet in Control Panel, then click on the "Change the way Security Center alerts me" link in the left sidebar. In the Alert Settings window, click in the checkbox to clear the check beside Automatic Updates, then click on OK and close the Security Center window. |
