Sent messages are not saved in my Sent Items folder. I clicked on Tools and Options and ticked the 'Save copy of sent messages in the "Sent Items" folder' box but it didn't work.

Open Windows Live Mail and click on the Sent Items folder.
Then, up at the top of that window click on the word "View". In the bar that opens, click on "Filter Messages" and in the list that opens, click on "Show all messages." See if that works. |

In WLM, in the left-hand pane, scroll down to Storage Folders, expand that list and see if there's anything in Sent Items there.
If Storage Folders isn't showing, click on View and in the bar that opens, click on Storage Folders to display them. |
