Dell Monitor

I have a Dell LCD Flat Screen 15 in. Monitor Model #E153FPb. When using the screen it goes dark after two seconds. Will come on again if I turn it off and on but again goes dark in two seconds. I have switched out with another monitor and the other monitor performs fine. The monitor in question is two years old.

Is it worth repairing or just purchase a new monitor?

If repairing it is indicated how do you get into the guts"" of the thing or is a professional needed? I do have some knowledge in electronics.

Repairing would probably be more than it is worth, especially
for a 15".
You might check prices on newegg.com.
I picked up a 19" widescreen for $192 and the prices
have come down a bit since then.
