IE Search History

I can erase anything in history EXCEPT:

Go to "history"

click on "search"

hit any letter and then 'enter'

tons of suggestions come up.

How do I erase that list from coming up?

Thanks.

Welcome

Goto Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete
Clear the appropriate options.

Also, while right clicking on one of the 'search results' does bring up a menu that includes the 'delete' option, if you click on it nothing happens.

If you're still having problems then try

downloaded and ran crap cleaner.

Still there.

I really appreciate you taking the time to help. Anything else you can think of?

The website's listed are so bizarrely random:

an ebay auction that I checked on 8 months ago
a yahoo profile I don't even remember checking on
a fantasy football forum from last season

This doesn't make any sense to me. Why are those things showing up in the history search?
