Creating disk space

Is there any practical way to create additional disk space, other than the standard clean ups?

I'm averaging about 40 MB of free space (2%), and I can't seem to create any more.

I only have 2 GB anyway, and there aren't any programs I can get rid of that I don't really need. When I go perusing through the C drive, I'm hesitant to just start deleting things, because I'm not sure if I really need them.

Ideas?

Howdy:

Ya, get a larger hard-drive or get a different one and slave it to your system.. Install your program files to it along with all your docs, pics, etc !!

You can't make something physically larger than it is !!

Yeah, I was just wondering if there was a way to delete some files, or move them elsewhere, to free up some room.

You can compress your files and folders but you'll take a hit on performance.

I use a program called ace utilities. The first time I used it, I got back over 2 gigs. But since you only have a 2 gig drivem you really need to get a new larger one. Expecially since you have xp. The only other thing you can do is to go to your add/remove and delete any programs you do not use.
