CD Rom Won't Open
A friend of mine has had a computer in storage for around 1 year now & wanted some software loaded on it. It's a P3-500. For some reason the cr-rom won't open. I tried inserting a paper clip into the little hole which should release it but it was a no go. Any ideas?

Sometimes you have to work that paper clip at weird angles.
If that still fails you have to remove the device from the tower and take off the device's cover. |

Have you checked that the device is powered?

I got it sorted out. There were some plastic knobs holding the tray in place. Apparently they are in place for transport? I did not know that. Thanks for your responses.

Ah, the old plastic-knobs-holding-the-tray-in-place trick.
Thanks for posting back the results 2337lover. |
