Hi
Does anyone know any good shortcuts in windows 2000 Pro.

For example
WINDOWS_BUTTON + E opens explorer,
WINDOWS_BUTTON + F opens find,
WINDOWS_BUTTON + m minimises

Also know any good command prompt shortcuts

eg
calc opens calculator
mspaint opens paint
winmsd opens system information

Any would be much appreciated
Thanks
Richard

You can actually create your own as well. Right-mouse-click on the shortcut used to start the application and select PROPERTIES and on the SHORTCUT tab, you will see a field labeled SHORTCUT KEY. Put the cursor in this box and type the key sequence that you want to use. As long as another shortcut/program isn't using this key sequence you will be able to open the app just by the key sequence.

For example, I have NotePad in windows mapped to CTRL+ALT+N and the Calculator to CTRL+ALT+C

And even though it isn't free, PCMAG has a little tool called HotkeyDetective
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1898,00.asp
that will search through your system and list all of the currently used shortcut key combinations and the programs that they open.
