Opensuse question

Well I've been experimenting with different distros of linux and one I found I like is opensuse, but it doesn't seem to have the option to allow you to create shortcuts to programs like you can with ubuntu. Anyone know of any way to do this with opensuse?

click on computer, browse to the program, drag to desktop.
