error loading operating system
I updated the bios on my machine and now it won't boot off the hard drive. It will boot off the XP CD, and it will boot XP off the hard drive IF i use "xp quick boot" diskette. xp quick boot diskette is from bootdisk.com.
I did run the xp cd and use the recovery console and the fixmbr command, but I still have the problem. What do I need to do to be able to boot off the hard drive?

Well since you upgraded the BIOS have you actually gone into the BIOS to check for new settings or settings that may have been changed due to the upgrade? You might want to check those out if you haven't already. Also if you did a BIOS upgrade its always a good idea to backup the old BIOS before flahsing so if something goes wrong you can just restore the old BIOS.
