factory reset problem
Hi--I was preparing a Toshiba L-500 laptop for sale and was doing a reset. This was going ok until after installing the new Windows 10 i was confronted with some onscreen questions that needed an answer. All went ok until it asked "who will use this laptop-- please enter your user name" Now as i want to sell this item i dont want to enter my user name but leave it clear for the new owner to complete BUT it wont let me proceed without entering something. How do i get past this question. Would appreciate some help please

You might want to just put in a fake name, and whoever buys the laptop can change it.

Many thanks Jill IPR512 for your help. I did consider doing this but was not sure if it would be allowed. However i will give it a go.
Thankyou and happy easter |

You're welcome caissurfer. Whoever buys it will probably want to change the name anyway so I don't think there would be a problem with using a different name than your own if the previous questions, and answers you gave didn't specifically involve your real name.
Good luck with selling the laptop. You have a Happy Easter also. |
